Schedule or Cancel an Appointment

How To Make a Medical or Counseling Service Appointment

You can make an appointment online at Health-e-Messaging, in person or by calling (530) 752-2349 for medical services or (530) 752-0871 for mental health services. The Appointment Desk follows the same Hours of Operation, however it closes at 5:00PM. Counseling Services for Med Students, Vet Med Students and Law Students are scheduled through a different process.

  1. Be sure to have your class and work schedule with you before calling.
  2. Please check in 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
  3. Registration stations are located in each waiting area.
  4. If you are late for your scheduled appointment time, you may be asked to re-schedule. Please keep this in mind when scheduling your appointment.
  5. Please note that appointments are limited in length and you may be asked to schedule a follow-up appointment(s) if you have multiple concerns or your care requires more than the allotted time.
  6. If you cannot make your appointment, please cancel your appointment (see below).
  7. Some appointments have questionnaires that need to be filled out before your appointment. If a questionnaire is required, in most cases it will show up on the homepage when you log in to Health-e-Messaging.

Vaccination Appointments

Appointments to obtain vaccinations can be scheduled with the nursing staff at the Student Health and Wellness Center, Monday through Friday from 9am to 11:30am and 1pm to 4:30pm. To make an appointment, you may call (530) 752-2349 and speak with one of our staff. If you are already here at the Student Health and Wellness Center, any registration staff can help you schedule an appointment.

How to Cancel an Appointment

If you cannot make your appointment, please let us know so we can make your time slot available to other students. There are two easy ways to cancel your appointment that are available 24-hours a day:

Call our Appointment Cancellation Message Line at (530) 752-8821 and leave a message. Log in to Health-e-Messaging and use the "Appointments" page to view and cancel your scheduled appointment(s).

No Show Policy

A No Show Fee of $25 will be assessed to students who fail to cancel an appointment that they cannot attend with at least 4 hours notice.

In order to better serve your needs in a timely and meaningful way, please show up 15 minutes prior to your appointment. If you show more than 5 minutes late for your appointment you will be asked to reschedule, and will be charged a $25 "No Show" fee.
