How to Get Started

Physical therapy services are offered onsite at the Student Health & Wellness Center for the students of UC Davis. You will need a referral from your health care provider to access physical therapy. If you have an outside provider, please bring your referral directly to the Physical Therapy department or fax it to (530) 754-1720. To schedule your appointment, call us at (530) 752-2318 or the appointment desk at (530) 752-2349.

Coverage of Costs

Students with UC SHIP

UC SHIP covers 100% of the cost of physical therapy services at our clinic. Call the Student Health Insurance office if you have any questions about UC SHIP coverage at (530) 752-6055.

Students with Private Insurance

Physical Therapy does not bill outside insurance providers directly. All costs of services are billed to your student account, and you are responsible for payment. Contact your insurance company regarding your physical therapy coverage and reimbursement. You may need to provide your insurance provider with our tax ID # 680334325 to determine coverage. Costs of services vary based on type and amount of care provided. Please call us if any questions.

Students without Insurance

All physical therapy charges will be billed to your student account, and you are responsible for payment. Costs of services vary based on type and amount of care provided. Please call us if any questions.
