UC Davis Student Health and Counseling Services (SHCS) is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), which recognizes a long-standing commitment to providing the highest levels of quality care to the community we serve, and the same high level of conduct in our business practices.

Status as an accredited organization means that SHCS has passed a series of rigorous and nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care, set by the AAAHC. Over 5000 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States have achieved accreditation by the AAAHC, and undergo an extensive on-site, peer-based survey of its facilities and services.

Our accreditation status provides an extra measure of confidence to our students. We are proud to have met the challenge of accreditation, and intend to consistently uphold the principles of quality improvement and quality care in the future.

We are pleased to announce that SHCS was granted another 3-year accreditation by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC), effective through March 1, 2021. In addition, SHCS was also granted Medical Home certification for the same 3 year period.

Accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS)
