Enrollment in UC SHIP includes coverage for prescription benefits. When you need a prescription filled, start at the Student Health and Wellness Center pharmacy. You can fill prescriptions written by SHCS providers, as well as ones written by outside providers.

Where to Fill Your Prescriptions
Students enrolled in UC SHIP can fill their prescriptions at any in-network pharmacy with OptumRx, including the Student Health and Wellness Center pharmacy. In fact, if you are purchasing a brand name medication, your copay will be only $15 (30 day supply) if you fill it at the SHCS pharmacy. If you fill your brand name prescription at any other in-network pharmacy, you will be charged a $35 copay (30 day supply).
To find an in-network pharmacy with OptumRx, such as CVS or Walgreens, you can search the OptumRx website for a list of current in-network pharmacies in your area. You will be required to register on the OptumRx website using your name, date of birth, and UC SHIP member ID number located on your UC SHIP Member ID card.
You can also download the OptumRx app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. This app lets you check prices, find local pharmacies, and view your prescription history.
