How I Work With Students

Throughout my training, I've been committed to working with all students. I previously specialized in substance use assessment and treatment, as well as facilitating mindfulness groups. I hope to provide a welcoming and non-judgmental space for students to grow and learn about themselves.

A life-long sports fan and former high school athlete, I have a deep appreciation for athletics as a vehicle for social connection, community enrichment, and advocacy. As a clinician, I hope to support student-athletes through various challenges by promoting a healthy balance of thoughts and feelings and incorporating consistent mindfulness practices. I strive for authenticity and acceptance in the clinical space and work from Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Systems perspectives.

I work with all students and have a specialty area working in athletic performance, substance use, injury recovery, eating and fueling concerns, anxiety, depression, family of origin issues, transition to college, career counseling, trauma, stress management, mindfulness, gender, sexuality, identity and radical acceptance.

About Me

I am from Indiana and earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Florida State University. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, physical activity, and watching sports. I love spending time with my partner and goldendoodle, Mooney.
