How I Work With Students

I work with all students collaboratively and holistically and have a specialty focus area in cultural and academic identity development, trauma recovery, and culturally competent pedagogical and clinical practices.

About Me

I earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and a minor Ph.D in Ethnic Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have a master's in clinical psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a B.S. in psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.  I have been invited to present on multicultural issues by a number of colleges and universities and co-authored and authored several scholarly works on multicultural issues. I am the Past-Chair and present Membership Chair of Division VII (Diversity and Social Justice) of the California Psychological Association.
