Individual Counseling

Eligibility: All registered students.
Location: North Hall

Individual Counseling is confidential short-term therapy available to all registered UC Davis students at no charge. The initial appointment will help clarify if short-term individual counseling is recommended, and an appointment will be made with a staff member as soon as possible. If longer term counseling services are needed, referral to a community professional will be made. Individual Counseling appointments are located at North Hall.

Counseling for Med Students

Services are available at no charge to all registered School of Medicine students and provided at the Facilities Support Services Building (FSSB. Suite 1400) (This location is for pre-scheduled appointments only).

Be sure to tell us that you are a Med Student when scheduling an appointment. SHCS staff are from the main campus and are not affiliated with the Department of Psychiatry or any other UCDHS Department.

Counseling for Vet Students

Services are available at no charge to all registered Veterinary Medicine students and provided at the Schalm Hall (This location is for pre-scheduled appointments only).

Email us at vetmedcaps@ucdavis.edu and indicate that you are a vet student seeking an appointment for counseling. Please let us know all your available open times during the week for an appointment, and one of the vet school psychologists will reply to you promptly to schedule an appointment. You may also call 530-752-0871 for an appointment with a counselor at North Hall (see top of page).

Counseling for Law Students

Students registered at the School of Law have the option of seeking brief individual counseling, at no charge, with the psychologist embedded at King Hall, or a counselor at the main counseling center at North Hall.
