An Acute illness or injury is sudden in onset. This could describe a broad range of concerns including sore throats, ear infections, bladder infections, injuries, fractures, and asthma attacks and same-day crisis appointments for mental health concerns.
Acute Care Services does not replace your Primary Care Provider (PCP), but may be an option when your regular provider’s schedule is full and unable to accommodate an urgent visit.
Treatments Provided in the Acute Care Clinic:
- Nebulizer treatments for asthma exacerbation
- IV fluids for dehydration
- Splinting for fractures
- Minor procedures such as toenail removal, lacerations, and abscess Incision and Drainage
- Same-Day Crisis Appointments for mental health concerns
