Bio

Focus

Shantille enjoys projects that allow her to collaborate with multiple campus partners to initiate campus-wide changes that support students' health and well-being. She is passionate about intentionally embedding well-being in social, academic and built environments. Some of her current projects focus on weight stigma and size inclusivity, graduate student well-being, academic well-being, and cultivating a safe transportation environment.

Prior Professional Experience

Shantille earned her B.S. in Human Development from UC Davis before completing her Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Promotion and Behavioral Science at San Diego State University. Her early career with the Health Education Council in West Sacramento focused on providing nutrition and physical education to local preschools. While at SDSU, she served as a Graduate Coordinator, where she developed a peer-led nutrition and cooking skills program for the student body.

Since returning to UC Davis in 2015, Shantille has dedicated over a decade to advancing student health. She has successfully led local and national coalitions to champion institutional policies and practices that prioritize well-being. She is deeply committed to size inclusivity and advocacy, always keeping the student experience at the heart of her work. Shantille’s approach is driven by the belief that our environments play a fundamental role in our ability to thrive.
