Bio

Rachel received her B.A. in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz, where she began her work in health equity as a Peer Educator in sexual violence prevention and sexual health. She received her M.A. in Sexuality Studies from San Francisco State University and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from UC Davis.

Since completing her M.A. program, Rachel has worked extensively in Higher Education within the UC and CSU communities. While working in Student Affairs at CSU Monterey Bay, she was elected as a founding Co-Chair for the Monterey Peninsula Pride organization. Additionally, prior to joining UC Davis in 2019, Rachel was the Outreach and Training Institute Director at the Sacramento LGBT Community Center, where she provided trainings throughout California, advocated for local, statewide, and national policy, and provided direct client advocacy for survivors of discrimination and violence.

Rachel is passionate about health equity, advocacy, and student collaboration.
