How I Work With Students

Welcome! I believe that growth and healing happen within the context of warm, caring relationships and supportive communities. Therefore, my top priority is to create a safe and affirming space where students feel seen, heard, and understood. I will collaborate with you to identify goals together, and then work to empower you to trust your own thoughts and feelings to create change. Throughout our work, I am mindful of ways in which systemic, contextual, and cultural factors may be impacting you, and hope we can explore these together. I try to be flexible to your needs and open to feedback about your experience in counseling.

About Me

In my spare time my two kids keep me pretty busy and also help me maintain my sense of humor. I enjoy traveling and exploring new places, reading, cooking and baking, playing board games, watching tv, camping, and spending time with friends and family. I have two cats who you may see if we meet over Zoom!

Professional Interests

Group therapy, multicultural and feminist counseling, relationships and interpersonal concerns (including attachment), issues related to identity, dynamics in families with addiction, grief and loss, body image and disordered eating, and clinical supervision and training.
