How I Work With Students

I strive to create a warm, supportive, and affirming space where students feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I believe that healing and growth happen through collaborative and meaningful relationships, and I work alongside students to identify their goals and build on their strengths. My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and respect for each student’s unique background, with attention to the cultural, systemic, and contextual factors that may shape their experiences.

In our work together, I integrate evidence-based and holistic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic, and narrative therapies. I also draw from mindfulness, empowerment practices, and feminist and liberation health perspectives. My goal is to support students in managing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and self-esteem concerns, while fostering resilience, self-understanding, and personal growth.

I work with all students and have specialty interests that include trauma, anxiety and depression, identity development, self-esteem, relationships, and life transitions.

About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience across a variety of mental health settings, including community urgent care, inpatient psychiatric facilities, residential treatment programs, substance use treatment, and university counseling centers. Outside of my professional role, I identify as Asian American, a self-proclaimed “weeb,” an aspiring golfer, and a proud dog dad to two fur babies.
