How I Work With Students

I strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative environment where students will feel seen, valued, and accepted. It’s an honor to support students with cultivating a deeper understanding of themselves and their values, exploring how their experiences/environments have contributed to how they view themselves and relate to others, and identifying ways they can feel fulfilled in life.

I use an integrative approach, drawing from various therapeutic modalities based on students’ needs, input, and feedback.

I am available to work with all students in the School of Veterinary Medicine and School of Medicine. I have been trained as a generalist and have extensive experience working with students with a wide range of presenting concerns at other universities. I also previously worked in higher levels of care to support individuals who struggled with disordered eating and thoughts of harming themselves and/or others. I have a particular interest in issues of self-esteem/self-confidence, relationship and interpersonal concerns (including attachment), managing stress, anxiety, and depression, reducing maladaptive behaviors (e.g. self-harm, disordered eating, substance use), and couples counseling.

About Me

In my spare time, I enjoy slowing down to connect with friends and family over meals, board games, and snowboarding. Reading and playing with my kids is a highlight of my day. For me-time, I enjoy good take-out food, coloring, and/or watching tv with a cat on my lap.
