How I Work with Students

I work with all students and have a specialty area working with Chicanx/Latinx Students and First-Generation Students of color

My therapy practices include a special interest in life transitions and adjustment, acculturation and identity concerns, interpersonal relationships, domestic violence, stress management, work/life balance, anxiety, and depression.

About Me

I identify as a first-generation, Mexican American woman and was raised in Greenfield, California which is a small agricultural town located in the Salinas Valley. I am proud to say that I am a daughter of campesinos (farmworkers).

I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a proud Aggie. I graduated from UC Davis in 2012 with a B.A.in Psychology and earned a Master in Social Work degree from the University of Southern California in 2016.

My professional background has primarily been focused in working in the bay area and Sacramento region in community mental health and health clinic settings aimed to address the health/mental health disparities that exist with marginalized/underserved communities, especially the Latinx/Chicanx Community. I believe that representation matters which is what ultimately led me to come back to UC Davis and join the Counseling Services department in 2021.
