How I Work With Students

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work from a person-centered multicultural lens, collaborating with individuals to guide them on their personal journey. I believe in meeting clients where they are at within the therapy process. I'm very passionate about social justice and mental health issues. I work to empower individuals to navigate through the variety of struggles within their lives. I am a strong proponent in the power of being seen, heard, and valued.

I work with all students and have specialty interest that include trauma focused therapy, strength-based, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, crisis support, and social justice. I have experience working with depression, grief/bereavement, trauma, anxiety, psychosis, and mood disturbances.

About Me

I identify as an African American. I grew up in the Bay Area most of my life, and moved to Sacramento to pursue my education. Most of my experience is working in community mental health for the past six years with: intellectually disabled individuals, crisis services, domestic violence, sexual assault, and human sex trafficking survivors. I enjoy hiking, cycling, and live music.
