My approach to therapy centers on creating a safe and collaborative space where students feel seen, heard, and valued. I work from a multicultural and social justice lens, recognizing the ways students’ identities, cultural backgrounds, and broader systems shape their experiences. I draw from approaches such as CBT, ACT, and Strength-Based therapy to help students explore the relationship among their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while identifying their most important values and strengths. I remain attentive to each student’s needs and invite feedback throughout the therapeutic process to ensure our work stays responsive to their goals. I also bring warmth, humor, and authenticity to therapy to create a space where students can feel comfortable being themselves without judgement.

 I work with students from all backgrounds and have particular interests working with first-generation, immigrant, multicultural, and BIPOC/Latinx students. My clinical focus includes concerns related to anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, adjustment/homesickness, academic stress, identity development, and relationship dynamics.

I am a doctoral intern in the campus outreach emphasis area and a proud first-generation Peruvian graduate student. I have a passion for supporting students in their academic and mental health journey,  working previously as a college academic advisor and mental health counselor in middle school, high school, and college settings. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, going to concerts, creating music playlists, watching my favorite comfort shows, and being in community with my loved ones.
