How I Work With Students:
I work with all students through compassion and mindfulness centered, strength-based, trauma-informed, and multiculturally sensitive approaches. Our time together will focus on goal setting, problem solving, stress reduction, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance. My passion is an integral exploration of wellbeing taking into consideration the intersections of many parts of one's human experiences; the psychological, physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, historical, and relational. Safe space, self-awareness, and access to one's internal and external resources anchor my goals for the students. I look forward to journeying with you.
About Me:
I migrated from the Philippines as a young adolescent and lived in San Francisco where my identity has influenced my advocacy as a healing agent particularly for communities of color. I worked for several years in community mental health and managed healthcare organizations in the SF Bay Area. I believe in the value of "Kapwa", a Filipino term that means interbeing; who we are in our personhood as individuals impact each other's lives meaningfully, transcending the human barriers of race, religion, and gender.
Communities that Represent Me:
