Experienced public healthcare professional with over 15-year experience working in the eye care field as a Certified Licensed Optician. Demonstrated history of informing patients on the importance of prevention and health education. Educational background includes a Master of Public Health (MPH) from University of New England (UNE); and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior Health (NPB) from University of California, Davis (UCD). Professional goals include expanding in the field of public health where I can utilize my multilingual background and public health expertise to alleviate public health disparities in my community.

I firmly believe that good vision contributes to improved academic success, athletic ability, and better quality of life. As a public health advocate and an eye care professional, I try to foster an environment for students where they are welcomed and educated on the importance of their ocular care. I incorporate advances in eye care in my daily conversations with students and ensure they are well informed about different options in correcting their vision whether it be via spectacles or various contact lens options.
