How I Work With Students

I am passionate about cultivating a safe space and therapeutic relationship with my clients that center comfort and collaboration to explore forms of healing that best resonate with them. I utilize frameworks that uplift cultural humility, intersectionality, and social justice. As such, I intentionally make space for the identities, communities, and sociocultural contexts that clients may want to bring into the therapy space. My holistic approach may include integrating modalities like ACT, DBT, and CBT, as well as interventions stemming from art therapy and somatic therapy. I aim to stay attuned to my client’s needs and preferences as we work together towards your goals.
I work with all students and have specialty interests working with underrepresented and underserved students, first-generation students, Black/African American students, Chicanx students, anxiety, complex trauma, attachment and interpersonal dynamics, adjustment concerns, life transitions, identity formation, work-life balance, and grief.

About Me

I work as a postdoctoral resident in the campus outreach emphasis area. I am a Black multiracial woman and was born and raised in Oakland, CA. I navigated higher education as a first-generation student. My clinical experience has included working within community mental health, outpatient clinics, and college counseling. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog. I am also a lover of music, poetry, nature, and creative expression.
