How I Work With Students
I believe a therapeutic alliance is critical to meaningful change. I aim to collaborate and meet the client’s needs throughout the process, be it advocating, validating, or challenging the client. In a brief therapy model, I see therapy as a short hike. We discuss the destination, terrain, and how close I travel along. As a co-traveler, I will listen attentively, encourage self-exploration, and assist with any obstacles.
