How I Work with Students

I use a collaborative process to help students identify goals/needs from therapy and then co-create a plan with the student that best meets their individual needs. My approach has been described by students as warm, conversational, strengths-based, and full of “common sense” as we identify obstacles that are preventing students from meeting their goals.

Professional Interests

My professional interests include vocational psychology, men’s issues, addiction, anxiety and depression issues, identity exploration, supervision/training, and trauma-informed care.

About Me

I am originally from Nashville, TN. My love for the West developed during my master’s degree at Colorado State University, where I studied Counseling and Career Development. During this time, I also became passionate about working with college students and have worked in multiple career centers and college counseling centers (University of Idaho, Florida State University) throughout the country. I enjoy helping college students navigate the challenging transitions of college and building insight through identity development.

In my spare time, I am typically reading science fiction, engaged in physical activity (hiking, CrossFit, mountain biking), or socializing with friends and family.
