The UC Davis Student Health & Wellness Center utilizes the newest technology and the latest trends in student healthcare to enhance student visits and delivery of care.

Whether you have the University of California Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP), Eye Med, Vision Service Plan (VSP), or are private pay, you can schedule an appointment with us for a comprehensive eye examination and/or have your eyeglass or contact lens prescriptions filled at our optical shop. SHCS Optometry Clinic and Optical Shop is conveniently located on the second floor of the Student Health and Wellness Center.
Schedule an appointment if you have:
- Blurry vision
- Eye turns (cross-eye)
- Problems with glare
- Trouble seeing at night
- Double vision
- Eyestrain with reading/computer
- If you have never had a comprehensive eye exam
Comprehensive Eye Exams Include:
- Focusing and binocular vision tests
- Thorough eye health screening
- Refraction test for eyeglass prescription (Note: There may be a separate fee for contact lens fitting)
SHCS Optical Shop
Many contacts are available to take home right after your appointment. Our Optical Shop has over 500 frames to choose from!
Come visit our beautiful and modern optical dispensary during normal hours of operation and check out the newest eyewear from many of the top brands, including Calvin Klein and Michael Kors. Our optical clinic staff can help you get fitted with the latest styles of eyeglass frames without breaking the bank. We also offer the thinnest and lightest lenses, sunglasses, and most of the contact lens brands available on the market.
