The Waiver deadline for Spring Quarter was March 26th, 2012.
Information regarding the 2012-13 academic year will be available in June 2012.
Insurance Services Location
Insurance Services is located on the second floor at the
Student Health and Wellness Center (SHWC).
Health Insurance Requirement
The University of California requires that all students have health insurance. To help you meet this requirement, all registered students are automatically enrolled in the University of California Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP). Fees for UC SHIP coverage are charged to your student account each school term along with your registration fees. If you have comparable health insurance and do not want to be enrolled in UC SHIP, you may submit a UC SHIP waiver application each academic year. All registered UC Davis students are eiligble to use SHCS services even if you have your own private insurance and choose to apply for a UC SHIP Waiver.
The University of California Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP) is designed specifically with both Davis area and worldwide coverage. The UC SHIP plan includes medical, dental, and vision benefits for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.
All Students can use SHCS Services
It is important to note that SHCS services are available to all registered UC Davis students regardless of their health insurance coverage.
